Danny Biddy

Interim pastor

Danny was pastor of Old River Baptist Church in Chambers County, TX for 40 years. He and his wife, Dana, saw the Lord do an amazing work during that time.

Danny continues to serve in retirement as Chaplain for Chambers County Sheriff’s Office and Fellowship of Christian Cowboys. He currently is responsible for the worship services at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He received the Interim Pastor Training certification by the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention and has served in several interim pastor positions.

Danny has been married to Dana since June 1971. They have two sons and daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. Danny likes to hunt and fish, and they both love camping and being in the outdoors.

James Kizzia

Associate Pastor

James and his wife, Becca, have been serving in ministry for 14 years: 7 years in college ministry and 7 years as a youth minister. Becca and James have been married for 9 years and dated for 5 years prior to that. James is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Ethics at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He has both his M.Div (Master’s in Divinity) and Th.M (Master’s in Theology) from SWBTS. Becca is pursuing a Ph.D. in Archeology at Lipscomb University.  Becca and James work together as a team and consider the youth as family. They strive to help youth and their parents grow in their faith and reach out to those who do not have a relationship with Christ. James is also an avid sports fan and does sports photography to give parents action photos of their kids playing the sports that they love at no charge. 

Sarah Berg

Director of Children's ministry

Sarah has been a long time volunteer in our community and here at CBC.  Sarah has been married for 18 years to her husband Thomas, and have three amazing children.  Bailey, who is a student at Lone Star College in Kingwood, Justice and Landon, who both attend Tarkington High School.  Sarah has been the owner and teacher of a parents day out program called Over the Rainbow for the last 8 years.  She is excited to merge this PDO with the church and see God work and move in our Children's Department.  When Sarah is not working or volunteering, she loves to travel with her family, and try new things.  

Dana Holley

Dana has been serving as the secretary here at CBC since May 2022. She is a wife of 13 years to her husband, Joshua Holley, and the mother of two amazing daughters. Dana has an AA in General Studies from Lone Star College System and is currently working on completing her undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship at Liberty University. While she enjoys serving in many capacities, her heart is with children’s ministry, “I have been serving in children’s ministry since I was a youth, and it is the most rewarding thing in the world. Children are eager to learn, and to be able to teach them about the most important thing of all, the love of Jesus Christ, is a truly awesome experience.”
